Seed Swap Success!

Transition Llantwit would like to thank everyone who was involved and visited our Seed Swap on 31st March at the Heritage Centre, Llantwit Major.

We had many a visitor including our good friends from Atlantic College who made a day of it as you can see from their Facebook photo album!

Get ready for Seedy Saturday!

It’s that time of year: yes, it’s seed-sowing time! Too many of some, not enough of others? We have the solution!

Come along to Transition Llantwit’s Seedy Saturday on 31st March, to swap and share your spare seeds and plants, and benefit from others’ surplus. Even if you’ve nothing to swap, come along, and get some seeds or plants to take home – for free!

From 10 – 1, at Llantwit’s Heritage Centre, gardeners and would-be gardeners will have a chance to chat, and there will be activities for young and old.

Refreshments will be available, and donations collected for Llantwit Major’s First Responders.

Enquiries? Call 796849 or 07804 624795.

Successful Miri Mieri work day!

Transition Llantwit members had a very successful morning at the Miri Mieri garden yesterday and were very busy indeed!

We worked our way through a long list of jobs including

  • Planting the first potatoes of the year.
  • Harvesting Jerusalem artichokes, we couldn’t believe how many we found! There were many we decided to leave there.
  • Moving the wormery which is coming along nicely after being placed in the garden in Winter.
  • Planting cabbages.
  • General tidying.
I took some pictures which are shown below! Enjoy!
